A. What this guide does

This guide was created to help users, Brawlers, and all kinds of people get used and know how to use Falco. It has strategies for just about everything. I hope you appreciate the hard work and effort put into this.

B. Falco's History

Falco is Star Fox's ace pilot. After Star Fox 64, he left the team due to boredom and tiredness. Returning in Star Fox : Assualt, he has made appearences in Almost Every Star Fox game. He yet a gain leaves the team in Star Fox: Command. However, he returns at the end of the game. His disappearences are chronicled in a Japanese Comic book originally bundled with Star Fox Adventures. But as for now, he is in Super Smash Bros. Brawl, adn that's why this guide exists.

C. Pros and Cons of Falco

Pros:
-Has one of the most useful projectiles in the game
-Can short hop double blaster. Blaster stuns and deals a few percent damage
-Blaster can "lock" characters in tumble if they tumble in front of Falco, racking up damage across the entire stage
-Reflector reflects projectiles and is a quick, short-ranged physical projectile of its own, tripping up nearby enemies and even going through walls
-Aerials and tilts come out quickly
-Highest initial jump if full-hopped
-One of the best spikers
-Forward smash is a good horizontal finisher
-Neutral A combo now traps really well. Useful for racking on damage
-Can chain throw opponents at low percents
-Good, high-priority aerial attacks that come out quickly with minimal lag
-Can wavebounce with his laser, although usefulness is debated
-Can Wall Jump
-Can rack up damage quickly
-Most of his moves are quick and solid hits
-Little overall lag

Cons:
-Most of his aerials cannot kill except at fairly high percentages.
-Overly reliant on spikes (Down Air) or Forward Smashes for kills
-Down Aerial has a fairly small window in which it can spike
-Forward Smash has slow wind up compared to other moves. Reach of clean hit is limited
-Light and easily K.O.'d
-His recovery can be caped and edge-guarded easily
-Easy to combo and chaingrab
-Bad vertical recovery (although better than in melee)
-Slow-Medium running speed

----------------Moveset-------------

A. "A" Button Moves

A: 4%, Swipes Forward
AA: 2%, Swipes with other hand
AAA: 1% per slash, Spins in a whirlwind. This move is very useful for getting damage quick. Refered to as 100-Falco Slash or Falco Whirlwind.

Knockback/KO potential ratings:
*=Little knockback, extremely small or no chance of KO
**=Some knockback, low chance of KO.
***=Moderate knockback and Okay KO potential
****=Good knockback, high KO potential
*****=Great Knockback, Very high KO potential

Forward Tilt**: 9%, Falco extends his leg. Can be directed in a downward or upward direction.
Down Tilt**: 11-12%, Falco crouches and spins his tail. Makes a slash noise and sends them upwards.
Up Tilt**: 9-10%, Falco slashes with his hands and sends opponet upward.
Dash A**: 9%, Kicks while flying in midair. Goes forward a little.

Forward Smash*****: 15-21%, Thrusts arms forward in an ark. Different knockback depending on where it hits. Falco's main killing move.
Down Smash****: 15-21%, Does a split and anyone who hits his feet/legs gets hit.
Up Smash****: 14-19%, Does a front flip and kicks opponet into the air.

Nuetral Air (Nair)**: 6-12%, Falco spins and swings his arms around.
Forward Air (Fair)**: 2-12%, Drills into the opponet with his beak.
Back Air (Bair)***: 7-13%, Falco extends his leg backwards. Good edgeguarding move.
Down Air (Dair/Spike)*****: 13%, Falco spins downward and enemy gets spiked. Very good killing/edgeguarding move.
Up Air (Uair)****: 11%, Falco does a flip and kicks the opponet upwards.

B. Throws

Knockback/KO potential ratings:
*=Little knockback, extremely small or no chance of KO
**=Some knockback, low chance of KO.
***=Moderate knockback and Okay KO potential
****=Good knockback, high KO potential
*****=Great Knockback, Very high KO potential

Forward Throw**: 7%, Throws them forward diagonally. Can be Chained.
Back Throw**: 8%, Opponet flies backward and gets shot several times.
Up Throw**: 8%, Opponent flies up and gets shot at. Blaster shots can miss.
Down Throw*: 9%, Throws down and shoots several times. Can be Chained.

C. Special Moves

Knockback/KO potential ratings:
*=Little knockback, extremely small or no chance of KO
**=Some knockback, low chance of KO.
***=Moderate knockback and Okay KO potential
****=Good knockback, high KO potential
*****=Great Knockback, Very high KO potential

Standard Special (B)*: Blaster- 2-3%, Falco shoots blue lasers at a moderate speed. Slower tham Fox's, but faster than Wolf's. Has a slight knockback unlike Fox's. Though it is spammable, use it only as a tease. Do not depend on it.

Side Special (B>)**: Falco Phantasm- 7%, Falco kneels down slightly and slashes a distance of about half of Final Destination. The move knocks opponets into the air. This move can be very useful for dodging and escaping. This move, when used in midair, can be a meteor smash. CAUTION: There is a good chance this move, if used excessively, can cause you to self-destruct. Use with caution.

Up Special (B^)**: Fire Bird- 1-24%, Falco egulfs himself in falames and launches in c chosen direction. It hurts your opponet if touched. Good recovory move from below.

Down Special (Bv)*: Reflector Kick- 5-8%, Easily Falco's most versitile moves. He dropps his reflector and kicks it and it returns like a yo-yo. This move isn't your standard projectile though. It can reflect objects, which is it's main purpose. It can also reflect odd projectiles, such as Pikachu's Thunder and Olimar's Pikmin Throw. But, if an opponet is running at you or attacking, it can be used to trip them. If they are standing or walking, it simply pushes them away. This move is one of the most useful, and has many strategies, which will be explained later on in the guide.

D. Final Smash

Landmaster: "Personally, I prefer the air!"
Canon***: 13%
Barrel Roll***: 10-16%
Treads****: 8-16%

Falco's Landmaster, or "Skymaster", is one of the best final smashes in the game. While it is kind of powerful, the best feature this Final Smash is its air game. Instead of Focusing on racking up damamge, try and get your opponet on top. The, fly upward off the screen. This is the key to getting 1-2 KOs. Also, the Landmaster lasts about 25 seconds.

A. Basic Strategies.

What is a chain throw?

A Chain throw is amove used to rack-up damage quick by reapeting a throw numerous times. Falco's Down Throw is a perfect example of one. Dependin on the character, you can get your opponet from 0% to 40-70%! To chain throw, use Falco's down throw, run forward to your opponet, then grab him/her. Repeat this process until satisfied or opponet escapes.

Does B-Stciking and RARing help Falco?

No. Don't bother much with it. while I'm still trying to find some uses for it, I for right now think It's better to leave your C-stick with Smash attacks.

Ok...now for some strategies...

Reflector Rush: Start off by distancing yourself from your opponet. Wait for your opponet do dash toward you. When right in front of you, use your Reflector Kick. This, if done correctly, shall trip your opponet. Follow up with a Spike. Roll to dodge incoming aerial attacks.

Currently avoiding that...

I know a lot of people who dont like falco for watever reason so hopefully this guide makes them consider other characters than their mains
