wow more conduit stuff

Here is a compiled list of all the “The Conduit” news as of late.

* The official “The Conduit” website has been released here.

* The release date has been pushed back from June 9th to June 23rd to make more time to work on the multiplayer.

* Max number of players in one game has gone down from 16 to 12.

* Confirmed Free-for-all maps include:
- Bunker
- Pentagon (8-12 players)
- Complex (6-10 players)
- Sanctum
- Infirmary
- Streets
- Warehouse
- Random

* Confirmed weapon sets include:
- Human
- Trust
- Drudge
- Near/Far
- Close Combat
- Longe Range
- Explosive
- Chargeable
- Random

* 13 confirmed online modes including:
- Free for All - Fast match, finishes when a player reaches specified kill count
- Marathon - Have the highest kill count at the end of the specified time limit
- Three Strikes - Only have 3 lives
- Last Man Standing - Be the last player to survive
- ASE Football - Tag game - Player who holds on to ASE for the longest time is the winner
- Bounty Hunter - Players go after specified player, if you hit an incorrect player you receive a penalty
- Team Reaper - Quick Match/Marathon, Shared Stock as well - Have additional lives from a pool
- Team Objective - Capture The Flag mode with ASE - Teams need to obtain own ASE

no just to keep it lag free but they should put a mode that warns you that there will be lag in a 16 player game

koro i hope we can count on u geting it were gonna need members to help for wars

I hope they can improve the multiplayer to make it look more like the campaign. I'm sure they will because it's not the final game.

i hope they can put back 16 players and maybe fix the wii speak a little more.i saw the add friends in the video and went on the website forum and theres rival and friends list

A couple days ago I was confused because I was hearing a lot of different things about the Conduit's Multiplayer, so I decided to email them and see what they said.

Dear Sir/Madam,

First off, I want to thank you for making the best game on the Wii to date, The Conduit. While all the other developers were making really bad games for a quick buck, you took the risk and gave us The Conduit, which will be the most graphically intense, customizable, and in-depth multiplayer for the Wii.

Second, to clarify, I ask you to explain how Wii Speak / Friend Codes work. It has been revealed that we will only be able to listen to the 6 people closest to us, however:

* in team deathmatch, will we be able to talk to our enemies?
* will we be able to talk without friend codes?
* if I have a friend, but he is farther away from me, will I be able to talk to him?
* will we be able to mute certain players?

Furthermore,

* is there any form of ranking system?
* will I be able to add a friend without friend codes (e.g. friend request)?
* will there be updatable game modes (e.g. Treyarch with Call of Duty 5, recently added modes)?

Thank you for taking the time to read this, and I hope you can reveiw the questions I asked and reply ASAP.

Thanks for the email and the interest in The Conduit! We’re very close to wrapping up the game – please excuse my somewhat terse response as we’re super-busy over here – but I try at least to answer a handful of emails a day, and yours in particular stands out as a point of confusion for some so I welcome the chance to clarify a few things…albeit one gamer at a time. J



I response to your questions:



* Proximity voice only applies for Free-for-All games. Team chat is used for Team Reaper and Team Objective game types. You can’t, however, talk to members on the opposing team in team games.
* You can only talk to Friends and Friends of Friends with WiiSpeak per Nintendo guidelines. While we would have liked to have been able to open it up to everyone, we’re obligated to follow Nintendo’s requirements.
* You can mute/unmute anyone, both in the Lobby and in-game.
* There is a ranking and XP system.
* You can add Friends in-game without having to manually enter a Friend Code either through sending a console friend request to a Wii console friend or through our UI if a player is a Friend of a Friend. For everyone else, you’ll have to manually enter their Friend Code. Again, we’re obligated to follow Nintendo requirements for Friend Codes.
* We won’t be supporting DLC or system updates for The Conduit. It’s something that we’ve looked at very closely and plan to implement moving forward with our future titles.
