How Link3618 makes his videos.

First i download Vixy.net to my desktop. The i get the URL of a clip i want even from yotube. And use the Vixy converter to convert the URL to a document ect, on you destop. Then upload to your movie maker. Once you do it once it takes like 3 min to get 1 video. Ten i arrange the clips in a cool way.

That's how I used to do it, but that site is very unreliable.

Here's how I do it now:
I have the Orbit Downloader plugin installed to firefox so at any time if I see a good video I can right click and tell it to grab it (in the browser).

Once that file is done downloading (as .flv) I convert it to .wmv by using a program called "WM Converter". I then import the .wmv files to Movie Maker and make my video.

Just google "Orbit Downloader" and "WM Converter". It's all free.

The quality is also better by as much as 25%.

I'll try both ways and see which one is easier. How do you use music files? Do I need a converter?

This is how I do it. First I download "Download Helper" (it's a firefox add-on)which allows me to download anything off youtube. One I download it, it's in a .flv format. I can't use it, so I convert it using SUPER converter (free). Then I import it to my movie maker (Sony Vegas 8.0). Once I finish my video, I render it to high quality and put it on youtube.

No, you don't need to convert music files, as it's already a .mp3 file.

my way is..... easier...

i have sony vegas pro 8(you can use windows movie maker) and i get any clip i want from any site and i go to keepvids.com and i put the url there and i d-load it
then i use it in my sony vegas or windows movie maker

if you want a screen recorder i recommend umm..let me see...hypercam which kinda sux and this other one but i forgot the other one... well BLEH loook it up on google

is hypercam better than fraps?? fraps lags me so bad, its why i didnt get 100% on my vid of i love rock and roll, and it can only record games

Hypercam usually doesn't work on games since they use DirectX and it can't record that.

do u know any that doesnt lag the game bad?? and works with games

I made a mini vid earlier, nothing special. Getting the hang of this now. I'll try to put a full one together soon.

Oh right I thought you needed advice on something else. I don't know that one. I'll try to find out from my friend but if someone else replies to your post by then go with their advice.

The reason you are lagging while recording is because your PC can't handle all the data traffic.
Do not use higher resolution than 1300x900 and let Fraps record at a framerate of 25,29.9 or 30. Your graphic card isn't causing this but your memory and processor.
Also, don't put Fraps ot he maps into C: put them into D,E,F or G, this CAN help.

He wants to know if you have Vista? Hope this helps and hope you can understand this.

Most modern computers only have 2 Hard Drives, a basic Hard Drive (C:) and a Recovery Hard Drive (usually D:). Then again, most modern computers can handle it anyway. Mine can on any settings you throw at it. I can have Combat Arms running and tons of other stuff and still be able to get on this site without any lag or problems.

I can do the same and my Laptop isn't very good. I can have Final Fantasy VIII running, Monkey Island 1 running, another game downloading and I can chat to ye without any lags.

What my friend was saying about the resolution was that if your computer is too fast, you should slow it down to a framerate of 25, 2.9 etc. Also at a maximum resolution of 1300x900. I mean he could be totally wrong and I could be giving bad advice but I said i'd try to help.

But as my second last post said, I told Slayer that if someone else posts, he should go with them. So I advise him to go with what you said because you know what you're on about .

i tried that... works

its mainly cause my computer sucks lol, cant even play alo 2 on it, it only gets like 15-20 fps with fraps goin on frets on fire, and its a lowish resolution

i depends if you have the FULL version of fraps
in the full vers. you can rec. all u want and take pix too

it can rec and take pix in game too and chat with other peeps on headset even if the game isnt compatible with headsets

ok, ill try it tomorrow, during a 10 min intermission in cod5, whcih will happen maybe twice in several hours lol, and i do have the newest version, and the full one, of fraps, and i got it for free
