since lots of people like the games and things on the 360 they know if they lower it everyone will buy more things thats like 3 games and a console right there

Also, they released the 360 in japan and its selling better then the wii

if u knew anything about business then u would know if price drops then demand is low. if demand is high they take advantage and raise the price

Opening day - $400 price - 100 000 units sold, all of stock depleted. 1 000 000 possible consumers left
$350 price drop over next year - 500 000 units sold - 500 000 consumers left
$300 price drop over next 2 months - another 100 000 units sold - 400 000 consumers left
$250 price drop over next 6 months - 300 000 units sold - 100 000 consumers left

The next price drop would be to try to convince that last 100 000 to buy their console, because they have already achieved 1 000 000 customers, they wouldnt have to drop the price if they wanted, but in reality, the price drops just bring in more money, and more consumers. Also, if all of those gamers bought a microsoft game for $60, which is manufactured for 3 dollars, thats a fuckin lot of money!


They have made money for every 360 they sell, and they have sold the products to all of the consumers willing to buy for that price, and the price drops are just to pull in the stragglers, not an act of desperation. The 360 has constantly been outselling the ps3, because it does the same thing, is 300 dollars cheaper, and there are more people with it.

ie. I have 5 friends - 4 have 360s, 1 has a ps3
I would get a 360

The person with a ps3 would eventually want to play with us, and would probs get a 360
